Just a quick note to say hello and thanks for the update. I always appreciate reading the details of your journey. I've had the Amen Clinic on my long list of things to do and just saw Dr. Amen on tv last week, so I was giving it more thought. Also, High Hopes keeps coming to mind but we've got so much going on at home with therapy and school. But she needs some fun stuff. Dr. Patterson asked about you last week. I find him to be very good at med's. Getting a return call is tough though. But we make our appointments for every 4-6 weeks and just see him regularly. Of course, it's only a few minutes from home for us. But he seems to really know his med's and his willing to try different things. My prayers are with you as you continue the journey being a doctor and a mother.

A nurse at the nursing home that my mother who is 52 yrs old is living gave me this website and it is amazing. My parents were on a 3 week vacation out west on the harley davidson motorcycle. As they were finishing out there last week heading back to Florida they had the accident. Both of my parents on life support. The nightmare has started. My mother has a severe brain injury leaving her not responsive. She wakes up and sleeps but thats about it. My father made a great recovery physically but emotionally is a different story. Why these things happen I don't know, all I do know is I miss my mom so very much.

Hi Lindy,
My name is Janice. My daughter was shot in the left temple in the back seat of her aunt's car.It was 7/26/2000. She was only 10 years old. They gave us no hope at all for her. But I felt God's strenght the whole time. I have felt at times that I am standing on my own believing God to continue that good and perfect work he started in her. She goes to KY School For The Blind. She doesn't use her left hand. It's been hard because we have no insurance just state help and it stops short of alot. Please pray for her to see again. The neuroligists told me they don't live when the bullet travels through the brain where hers did. He said quoate "I'm amazed" I just found your website and it is encouraging to me. I am happy for you how Ryan is recovering. God is faithful.
Love Janice & Savannah

My son Dave is close to your age Ryan. He got a TBI when he was only 16. A lot of your story is similar to his. The Lord is the great Physician. He is healing you too! Our prayers are with you.

Lindy, I think of you and Ryan often and you are always in my prayers. You are an inspiration to me. They say that, God never gives us more than we can handle, but, I'm sure you may have questioned that more than once.
I remember you coming into Dr. V's office long ago and it was always such a pleasure to see Ryan's smile and, of course, yours as well..
You will always be in my heart and prayers. See you in March at Dove Canyon...
Happy New Year and God's "Special" blessings on you and your family.
Love and Blessings,
Yolanda Leslie

I just read Lindy's journal entry from December 7, 2007 and the good news of Ryan's progress and ability to ask for her fills me with joy and hope for even more progress in the coming year. May the spirit of the holiday season bring a special "present" to you all! I wish I could come to the Dove Run in March but I'm stuck in New York. I'll be there in spirit for sure! Peace, Dan

Jesus loves you Ryan!
